Northrop Grumman Corporate Global Supply Chain is seeking a talented and motivated Senior Principal or Staff Supplier Diversity Specialist (Level 4 or 5). This position will be filled at either a level 4 or level 5 based on experience and qualifications.  The successful candidate will be well organized, a self-starter, have a high level of attention to detail, and have excellent interpersonal/written communication skills.  This position can be considered for fully remote, preferred is located near a NG office. The ability to travel domestically is approximately 10% - 20% of the time.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Serves as a Corporate Supplier Diversity Specialist supporting and leading strategic initiatives, process improvements, new tools/processes, and special projects.

  • Provide support for Supplier Diversity Outreach by attending outreach events and representing the company; Act as a focal point for small businesses interested in becoming a Northrop Grumman supplier or expanding their current support

  • Act as advocate to ensure maximum practicable subcontracting opportunities are offered to small and diverse suppliers. 

  • Collaborates with Supply Chain to ensure appropriate identification, qualification, and inclusion of small and diverse suppliers; collect and disseminate supplier capability and facilitate introductions to small and diverse suppliers.   

  • Support Corporate GSC coordination of statutory programs and company initiatives such as Mentor-Protégé, HBCUs, SBIR, AbilityOne, etc.  

  • Develop and deliver presentations/training to educate internal stakeholders on small business and supplier diversity requirements, programs, and systems

  • Validate supplier information and conduct market research and intelligence as needed using various external sites/systems like USA Spending, Federal Procurement Data System, and System for Award Management, Dynamic Small Business Search, SBA.GOV, and agency SB program offices

  • Understanding of Small Business Programs and federal contract requirements related to small business laws, regulations and company policies and procedures

  • Assist with audit and compliance reviews. 

  • Monitor adherence to small business subcontracting goals via system reporting; understand implications of data and develop action plans for improvement. 

 Basic Qualifications for Level 4:

  • Bachelor’s Degree + 10 years of related experience or Master’s Degree + 8 years of related experience

  • Experience as a Supplier Diversity Specialist

  • Experience supporting Small Business Subcontract Reporting (ISRs and SSRs)

  • Proven ability to identify, assess and solve problems

  • Ability to persuade and lead without authority

Basic Qualifications for Level 5:

  • Bachelor’s Degree + 15 years of related experience or Master’s Degree + 13 years of related experience

  • Experience as a Supplier Diversity Specialist

  • Experience supporting Small Business Subcontract Reporting (ISRs and SSRs)

  • Proven ability to identify, assess and solve problems

  • Ability to persuade and lead without authority

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience as a Small Business Liaison Officer (SBLO)

  • Experience leading Small Business Subcontract Reporting (ISRs and SSRs)


Salary Range: $94,500 USD - $141,700 USD
Salary Range 2: $117,200 USD - $175,800 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
