Responsible for information systems design, development, and analysis in one or more of the following areas of technical expertise: programming, PC application analysis, software development, systems integration, and related disciplines.

This role will be comprised of two areas of responsibility.  The first role combines existing IT domain knowledge with Scaled Agile principles as the foundation for relentless improvement within the NGC IT operational landscape

The Portfolio Demand Analyst leads the way forward by working extensively with IT professionals and consumers of IT services identifying improvement opportunities while accelerating the adoption of Lean Portfolio Management (LPM) serving as an expert and advocate.   Additionally, the role will focus on workflow improvements in ServiceNow to reduce waste, improve performance, and streamline delivery.

This position will partner with many organizations across corporate collaborating to ensuring the voice of our customers are being heard and addressed therefore excellent communication, listening, and writing skills are required.  For instance, by defining, testing, and altering regular, pro-active communication practices for their effectiveness the role will bridge different approaches teams have and will result in best practices.

Using input from our internal customers via multiple channels such as the Breaking Barriers program (Enterprise Idea Submission), the IT Service organization, the Program Management Office, etc...  The analyst will innovate by assessing and quantifying the business value derived from possible improvements.

Routine work includes creating light business case, creating plausible epics, features, stories, capturing risks, identifying parameters of enablers, articulating barriers, qualifying in/out of scope, creating Service Now reports and managing dependencies and assumptions.  Once complete the Portfolio Demand Analyst will work with the Business Owners or Product Owners who will decide on proceeding and then assignment to the agile team or train will be done. 

Once demonstrated the feature or story is met, the Analyst will work closely with the business lines on the release with our partners and other areas such as Communications, Release Management and Service Now team to market the improvements.  

The second part of this role is working with the workflow team on managing the lifecycle of the Service Now single point entry request form which entails server and storage builds, terminations, and network infrastructure requests.  Routine work includes reviewing workflow request for process efficiencies, ensuring no bottlenecks, and customer engagement to ensure timeliness of the request process.

The qualified candidate may be located anywhere within the continental United States near an existing Northrop Grumman facility.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree and 2 years of relevant experience OR Master's Degree and 0 years OR Associate's Degree and 4 years of relevant experience OR High School Diploma and 6 years of relevant experience.

  • Advanced PowerPoint skills are required.

  • Excellent writing, and communication skills are required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) experience in Lean Portfolio Management (LPM), user experience (UX), graphics and previous workflow experience is a plus.

  • ServiceNow knowledge is preferred. 

Salary Range: $68,100 USD - $102,100 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
