Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking a Sr. Principal AVE Propulsion Configuration Lead. This position will be located in Vandenberg SFB, California and will support the Sentinel (GBSD) program. This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package.

What You’ll Get To Do: 

Specific duties to include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Responsible for integration, assembly and test of aerospace flight vehicle and ground support equipment.

  • Provides technical support to engineers on a variety of technical tasks. Gathers, maintains, formats, compiles, and manipulates technical data, such as laboratory or material test results and engineering design changes.

  • Reads and understands engineering documentation that applies to laboratory setup and integration.

  • Uses personal computer in performance of analyses and development of documentation/reports.

  • May conduct tests and record data to assist with engineering evaluation or analysis.

This position’s standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.  

You’ll Bring These Qualifications:

  • 10 Years of experience with Bachelor’s Degree; 8 Years with Masters. Four additional years of ICBM maintenance experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree. 

  • Active DoD Top Secret clearance with a reinvestigation date occurring in the last 5 years.

  • US Citizenship and ability to obtain Special Program Access (SAP)

  • Experience in an ICBM or space launch vehicle integration, production, manufacturing or test environment or like type work in a military setting.

  • Experience with common hand tools and test equipment found in an integration, production, manufacturing or test environment.

  • Ability to obtain a Commercial Driver’s License.

  • Ability to travel 25% of the time.

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:

  • ICBM Maintenance integration, assembly, and test experience

  • Experience in missile and reentry system handling and maintenance

  • Current Commercial Driver's License (CDL) valid in California and Utah

  • Active SAP access to Sentinel Program

Salary Range: $103,900 USD - $155,900 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
