Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking an experienced Facilities Principal or Sr. Principal Project Management. This position will be located in Vandenberg, CA.

This position’s standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.  What You’ll Get To Do:

Serve as an overall integration function for the program engaging in many ad hoc activities required to ensure streamlined personnel logistics and facilities management.Collaborate with different functions to manage space planningSupport the build-up of facilities. Facilitate internal and external meetings to support the program and represent program management in appropriate program reviews or boardsSupport to Identify and mitigate project risks throughout project life cycleSupport development of networking infrastructureIdentify opportunities for change and champion needed changes in the organization  Successful candidates will have the following key attributes: Proactive – anticipates requirements from higher management, and initiate and complete actions required to meet those requirementsPerceptive – sees the “big picture” but is also able to focus on the details and follows all of them through to completionComposed – maintains a “level head” in the extremely dynamic, fast-paced, and demanding environment, especially when working closely with executive management on projects with highly compressed timelines and tight deadlinesDiscretion – self-initiates tasks with considerable latitude for independent judgment

This position can be filled at either a level 3 or level 4. You’ll Bring These Qualifications for level 3:Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering or related disciplines with 6-9 years of relatable work experience. Excellent oral and written communication skills; intermediate to expert in Microsoft Office Suite - Project, PowerPoint, Excel and Word. Ability to obtain and maintain DoD Secret clearanceAbility to travel for business up to 10% You’ll Bring These Qualifications for level 4:Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or Engineering related disciplines with 10-14 years of relatable work experience. Excellent oral and written communication skills; must have previous experience leading a team in successful completion of projectsPrevious experience in SAP, Business Warehouse, intermediate to expert in Microsoft Office Suite - Project, PowerPoint, Excel and Word. Ability to obtain and maintain DoD clearanceAbility to travel for business up to 10%
Preferred qualifications:Active DoD Secret clearancePrevious Project Management experience within Aerospace industry
