Northrop Grumman’s Defense Systems sector is looking for a Sr. Principal COOP/Disaster Recovery Lead to support the Revolutionary IT Services program at the US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) in Vicksburg, Mississippi. In the position you will:
  • Develop and maintain disaster and emergency planning and management plans, policies, and procedures, and provides advice and recommendations on all aspects of emergency planning and management at both the tactical and strategic levels.
  • Develop, maintain and test detailed plans for company employees and facilities to ensure the overall safety and security of employees and assets, and the continuity of business processes.
  • Direct the process of identifying causes, categorizing, reporting critical department processes and resource requirements including establishing timeframes, recovery windows, and priorities.
  • Develop disaster preparedness communications, training, exercises and drills.

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in a related discipline AND a minimum 10 years of relevant experience.  May consider an additional 4 years of work experience in lieu of degree.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience dedicated to disaster recovery operations and management in the IT industry.
  • Experience in implementation, Development and Execution of Disaster Recovery Exercises, Test Case Scenarios and Tabletop Exercises.
  • Experience defining and implementing Disaster Recovery and Continuity of Operations programs.
  • Familiarity with business continuity program life cycle plans and source deliverables (e.g., risk assessments, business impact assessments, continuity planning, and crisis management).
  • Strong knowledge of NIST 800-34/84/53 Frameworks.
  • Must have the ability to work independently on multiple tasks.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate with a variety of stakeholders, superior customer service relationship, and teaming skills are required.
  • Proficient in all key Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Power Point) • Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage complex high priority deliverables
  • Must possess an active Secret level security clearance.  US citizenship required.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Related Master’s degree and a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience
  • Relevant certification(s) such as ABCP, CBCP, CBRM, or CBRITP.
  • Strong understanding of computer principles with experience in WAN/LAN, computer software, storage and printing sub-systems and telecommunications as well as IT disaster recovery concepts.
  • Understanding of both on-premise, off-premise, cloud and hybrid recovery solutions and methodologies.
