With our competitive pay and comprehensive benefits, we have the right opportunities to fit your life and launch your career today.  Northrop Grumman's Enterprise Services organization is seeking an Agile Coach.  This position will not be location specific and can be performed virtually. The Agile Coach will lead programs and/or organizations in their adoption of Lean-Agile practices. He/she will provide success patterns, best practices, process tailoring, training, and team and leadership coaching to enable effective Lean-Agile execution. Supports proposal development, risk management, release management, and project planning activities. The incumbent will assist in developing, maintaining, and continuously improving Lean-Agile training, practices, policies, and procedures across operations, development, and management lifecycles.  Roles and Responsibilities include:
• Coach teams and programs in Lean-Agile principles and practices. Enable delivery at scale with PI Planning, engineering craftsmanship and quality, DevOps and Portfolio management.
• Facilitate communities of practice to enable craftsmanship for product owners, development engineers, quality, scrum masters and agile program managers
• Maintain active awareness of internal and external Lean-Agile community and as appropriate experiment with introducing new practices to the organization
• Coach multiple teams / ARTs simultaneously with in-depth guidance on the roles, rituals, and artifacts of Agile teams and organization units
 

Basic Qualifications: 
 
Candidates must minimally meet the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed below. 

• 20+ years of relevant experience with a Bachelor’s degree; 18+ Years with Masters; 15+ Years with PhD. (Appropriate combination of years of experience and education will be considered in lieu of the 4 year degree requirement)
• 3 years of Agile Coaching experience including:
o Technical experience with concentration in design, development, integration, implementation, and operations of complex large-scale information systems and technologies
o Active SAFe Program Consultant (SPC)
o Minimum of 2 years’ experience leading development teams in a Lean-Agile environment
o Experience coaching Product Owners, Scrum Masters, Analysts, Developers, Testers and Leaders
o Working knowledge and practical experience in software development life cycle and methodologies
• Ability to influence change across both team and leadership levels by through relationship building and collaboration
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize work to ensure milestones are met
• Ability to work effectively in cross functional (operations, management, and financial) teams
• Experience working with Scrum, Kanban, Feature Driven Development, Test Driven Development, eXtreme Programming, Continuous Integration & Delivery, DevOps
• Executed a minimum of five successful Program Increments (PIs)
• Direct experience with transitioning teams to Lean-Agile practices, including both individual teams and multi-team projects
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret level security clearance or higher
 
Preferred Qualifications:

Candidates with these skills will be given preferential consideration.
• 5 years of experience leading teams in an Lean-Agile environment, including cyber-physical solutions, hardware, embedded development, and Solution Train projects
• Experience implementing Lean-Agile principles and practices (preferably SAFe methodology) within DoD or Federal government or other high-compliance environments
• Experience with Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS) and its application to Lean-Agile programs
• Participated in the planning, training, and execution supporting at least two Agile Release Train launches
• Certified Enterprise Coach (CEC)
• Certified Scrum@Scale Trainer
• SAFe Program Consultant Trainer (SPCT)
• Certified Scrum Trainer (CST)
• Professional Scrum Trainer (PST) or equivalent certification
