With our competitive pay and comprehensive benefits, we have the right opportunities to fit your life and launch your career today.   Northrop Grumman Defense Systems sector (NGDS) is seeking an experienced Sr. Principal International Trade Compliance Analyst to join our growing team, either on-site in McLean, Virginia, Warner Robins, Georgia, or virtually as a full-time teleworker.  The selected candidate will develop and manage comprehensive internal export and import controls to ensure compliance with U.S. and foreign regulations in the conduct of international marketing, sales, government contracting, foreign military sales, global supply chain, and strategic business activities.   Responsibilities will include the following:  
  • Works with various functional areas to determine their export/import needs, and develops and implements appropriate strategies to meet business requirements to ensure full compliance with all regulatory agencies
  • Prepares and submits the required export/import authorization requests to the appropriate U.S. Government regulator in order to obtain all necessary export and import licenses, permits, certifications, and technology release determinations to support international programs
  • Supports operational processes for assuring trade compliance through gate reviews for technical data, foreign travel, foreign visits, and export and import shipments
  • Manages all post approval activities to ensure applicable trade compliance records are maintained in accordance with regulatory requirements
  • Supports investigations and resolution of compliance concerns, questions, or complaints
  • Establishes and maintains training and audit assessment programs to ensure implementation and effectiveness of internal controls
  • Collaborates cross-functionally to accomplish sector and portfolio goals
  • Supports and implements corrective actions that may result from export/import compliance violations
  • Prepares and delivers to programs and other internal customers export/import compliance training, informal export/import communication/guidance, control plans, and proviso briefings

Basic Qualifications:  
  • Must have one of the following:
    • High school diploma or GED with a minimum of 14 years of Export Licensing or Compliance-related experience
    • Bachelor's degree with 10 years of Export Licensing or Compliance-related experience
    • Master's degree with 8 years of Export Licensing or Compliance-related experience
  • Knowledgeable of International Traffic in Arms Regulation (ITAR), Export Administration Regulations (EAR) and Export Control Reform (ECR)
  • Ability to draft complex export authorizations
  • Must have or be able to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) Secret security clearance
  • Must be able to travel as needed (up to 25% of the time)

  Salary Minimum: $94,240 Salary Maximum: $141,360   Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
