Northrop Grumman Defense Systems sector is seeking a Regional Manager to support the Biohazard Detection System Field Technicians for Mountain operations including Washington, Idaho, Montana, North Dakota, South Dakota, Wyoming, Nebraska, Nevada, Utah, Colorado and Arizona encompassing 16 postal sites. 
 
The Regional manager will be responsible for the operations, support and logistics for the sites and Field Technicians in region.  The Regional Manager will work collaboratively with program leadership, project teams, business management, human resource, talent acquisition and subcontractors ensuring continuity of operations, activities are being executed and immediate needs are addressed.  They will maintain local site and/or travel support and oversight of Field Technicians within the regional network of sites.
 
Duties will include:
 
.Local site support for one or more postal sites and or travel support throughout the region.
.Manage 13 employees in the region.
.Resolve and manage immediate issues within region.
.Provide oversight and assistance for assignments, schedules and other work related topics
.Communicate with headquarters on problem resolution and future challenges affecting region.
.Train and update employees of best practices, new processes and procedures and upcoming changes.
.Provide input and help coordinate traveling technician support.
.Travel to and work with all employees within the region twice a year.
.Recruit and onboard new team members
.Identify opportunities for organic growth with the customer.
.Occasionally perform other job-related tasks in support of primary duties.

Basic Qualifications:
.Bachelor’s degree; will accept six years of experience in lieu of degree
.Must have technical trade experience in the fields electrical, mechanical, and or IT related fields.
.Must be able to travel 20% if currently working at a local postal site within the region; must be able to travel 100% of time if not currently working at a local postal site.
.Must be able to obtain a USPS Sensitive clearance.
.Must have excellent organization skills and the ability to keep detailed records
.Must be a team player, motivated, self-starter and a quick learner with attention to detail
.Must be a US Citizen or a Green Card Holder
.Must possess experience working in a deadline-driven environment, handling and prioritizing multiple tasks.
.Works with team members and remote customers with effective collaboration skills
.Mentor team members and assist with employee engagement to include career development guidance
.Working ability of MS Office Products specifically, Excel and Word required specifically data entry and working with spreadsheets.
.Self-directed and self-motivated with ability to perform and complete tasks with minimal guidance 
Preferred Qualifications:
.Previous management experience
.Reside in the location of specific region.
.Possess Biohazard Detection System cabinet certification
.Experience with USPS
