Northrop Grumman Defense Systems has an opening for an Associate Systems Engineer to join our team. This position will be located in Warner Robins, Georgia.  Our team in Warner Robins is a world class provider in modernization and sustainment capabilities for mission and weapon systems. 

What you’ll get to do:

The selected candidate will join our systems engineering.  The candidate will create models and digital twins for products under development and also get to support the team in the design and test of either hardware or software solutions depending on the candidate’s strengths.

Your responsibilities also include:

  • Work within an IPT to create and deliver systems models and systems solutions to our customers

  • Create Model Based System Engineering products (System behavioral models, Use Case realizations, State Machines, etc.)

  • Generation and update of specifications in DOORS, including requirements traceability

  • Establish architectures for work products, validating those architectures through the above

  • Functional algorithm development

  • Presenting analysis that shapes the system design and obtaining end-customer buy-in

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering

  • Demonstrated proficiency in analytical thinking and problem solving skills and Systems thinking mindset   

  • Excellent decision making and communication (written and oral) skills

  • Strong work ethic and the ability to work in an integrated product team (IPT) environment

  • Must have or be able to obtain a Secret Clearance per business requirements.

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Experience with Cameo

  • Working knowledge of DOORS

  • Knowledge of C, C++, VHDL, SysML, or Python

  • Experience with Xilinx family of devices

  • Embedded Linux and build tools

  • Printed Circuit Board design and test experience

  • Reverse engineering, DMS/OBS, mid-life product upgrade experience

  • An Active Secret Clearance of higher


Salary Range: 57800 - 86600

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
