Are you ready to put your experience to work at Northrop Grumman? If so, Our Defense Systems Sector needs you to join our Team as a Senior Principal Embedded Software Engineer on our Embedded Software Engineering Team and supporting our Subsystem and Software Sustainment (S&SS) organization in Warner Robins, GA.

In this role, you will be supporting our B-1B Electronic Warfare Software Program. You will be an integral part of an interdisciplinary team of engineers focused on the modernization and sustainment of the ALQ-161 system for the B-1B platform.

You will utilize your technical expertise and collaborative people skills within a technically diverse and fast-paced team. This position is located in Warner Robins, GA

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Develop, modify, and maintain embedded software using software engineering best practices and standards. 
  • Software development including automated testing to facilitate and analyze large data sets.
  • Participate in the full life cycle of software development, to include requirements development, modeling and design, software development, unit to CSCI testing, integration, formal system testing, release, installation, and maintenance.
  • Apply technical expertise in solving complex integrations problems.  
  • Frequent opportunities to interact with Program Management, external suppliers and/or government customers, therefore excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills are essential to succeeding in this role

Basic Qualifications:  

  • Bachelor of Science (B.S) degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or an equivalent STEM related discipline
  • Minimum of 9 years of direct relevant experience with B.S degree; Minimum of 7 years of direct relevant experience with Masters degree; Minimum of 5 years of direct relevant experience with PhD.
  • Proficient in C/C++ and/or Ada programming language
  • Proficient in all areas of formal software lifecycle process from requirements to testing
  • Ability to obtain/maintain a U.S Department of Defense (DoD) Secret level security clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in object-oriented analysis and design
  • Experience programming in Ada
  • Experience using JIRA/Bitbucket and Smart Git
  • Experience working in a fast pace, agile environment with the ability to work on a cross-functional Scrum team focused on quality and capability delivery
  • Experience with Electronic Warfare (EW) principles
  • Current Secret Security Clearance

Salary Range: $108,600 USD - $163,000 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
