Northrop Grumman Defensive Systems has an opening for a Principal Systems Engineer on our test team. In this role, you will support radar testing and troubleshooting at the system level as well as the component level. This role will also include maintaining all aspects of the associated test equipment.

Roles and responsibilities will include:

  • Support ATP testing of radar system

  • Troubleshoot radar system and/or components (antenna, LRU, SRU, etc.)

  • Conduct and contribute to data analysis to support failure identification and resolution

  • Maintain test station and associated test equipment

  • Perform technical analysis of radar systems

  • Track and maintain failure trend data

Basic Qualifications: 

  • A Bachelors in Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM Degree) with a minimum of 5 years of applicable experience with a BS or 3 years with a MS

  • Experience with electrical and/or RF test equipment

  • Experience with software, such as C, MATLAB, Labview, ect.

  • Understanding of radar system and test engineering concepts

  • The ability to obtain and maintain a US Secret level clearance is required

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Previous experience with radar testing, troubleshooting, and/or technical analysis

  • Experience running and maintaining RF test equipment

  • Software development experience with antenna/RF analysis and/or test measurement systems

Salary Range: $87,600 USD - $131,400 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
