Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems is seeking a level 2 or a level 3 Avionics Technician based in Warner Robins.

Position includes installing and troubleshooting avionics systems wiring in aircraft in accordance with technical specifications, engineering instructions, and FAA regulations. Fabricates, installs, and tests installation, routing, clamping, and wiring harnesses. Reads wiring diagrams and blueprints.

Specific Description:

  • Execute avionics support for E-8 Joint STARS Prime Mission Equipment (PME).

  • Conduct maintenance of aircraft in line with USAF maintenance procedures & in compliance with associated airworthiness approvals.

  • Support communications systems maintenance (Satcom, Data, Voice…)

  • Conduct mission systems integration (Operation and Control (O&C), LAN HUB, Blade Server…)

This requisition may be filled as either a level 2 or a level 3 Airframe and Powerplant Mechanic

Basic Qualifications Level 2

  • Active DoD Secret Clearance

  • 2 years of aircraft avionics experience

Basic Qualifications Level 3

  • Active DoD Secret Clearance

  • 5 years of aircraft avionics experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 6 years’ experience on E-8 Joint STARS (consider E-3 or military variants) Prime Mission Equipment (PME) experience

  • 2 years of airborne radar systems maintenance experience

  • 1 year experience performing mission systems integration (Operation and Control (O&C), LAN HUB, Blade Server…)


Salary Range: $43,200 USD - $72,000 USD
Salary Range 2: $51,300 USD - $85,500 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
