Northrop Grumman is seeking an experienced individual to be a part of a team that not only fosters open communication of ideas but encourages innovation at every level. As a Supply Chain Professional, you will further the success of our programs to help Northrop Grumman leave the boundaries of what's known and solve tomorrow's opportunities.

We are seeking someone to support the Space and Strategic Programs operating unit in Woodland Hills, CA. This is an on site position that will afford you with many opportunities to excel and challenge your skills. We are looking for someone who can develop subcontract specifications, work statements, and terms and conditions for the procurement of specialized materials, equipment, and/or services. Prepares bid packages, conducts bidders conferences, analyzes and evaluates proposals, negotiates subcontract provisions, selects or recommends subcontractors, writes awards, and administers resulting subcontracts. Negotiates and coordinates additions, deletions, or modifications to subcontracts. Participates with contracts administration and purchasing to develop subcontract policies and procedures.

The selected candidate will be in a position to mentor and coach procurement agents and subcontract administrators in the procurement processes and procedures at Northrop Grumman as well as fundamentals of supply chain management. This person will be a problem solver, project manager and be able to generate, maintain and interpret various sets of information to glean the successes and challenges of the teams. They will help supply chain leadership with compliance reviews, audits and various program reviews. They will generate status charts and manage supply chain risks and opportunities.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Ability to obtain a Secret Level Security Clearance
  • Direct DoD procurement and subcontracting experience, proficiency with services, labor, travel, and other direct cost (ODC) solicitations, justifications and awards.
  • Experience with SAP procurement & accounting systems
  • In Depth understanding of Northrop Grumman supply chain processes and procedures in order to maintain 100% complaint purchase orders
  • In depth understanding of supplier management and the importance of maintaining good supplier relationships
  • Negotiating skills with contract in excess of $ 2 million
  • Demonstrated ability to brief all levels of leadership
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently or as a team member
  • Understanding of supplier risk management
  • Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 15+ years combined experience in Subcontracts, Purchasing, Contracts, Finance, or Project Management or a minimum of 13+ years combined experience in Subcontracts, Purchasing, Contracts, Finance, or Project Management with a master’s degree

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Active Secret Security Clearance
  • Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management
  • Master’s Degree in Supply Chain Management
  • In-Depth Knowledge of Earned Value Management System (EVMS)
  • Previous Control Account Manager (CAM) experience or training
  • Change Management experience


Salary Range: $132,700 USD - $199,100 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
