Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is seeking a Manager Business Planning 2 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Woodland Hills, California and will support the Navigation and Cockpit Systems business unit.

The Manager of Business Planning 2 will partner closely with the Senior Business Operations Manager, as well as the extended leadership team, to manage the operational aspects of the business unit.

The Manager of Business Planning will be responsible for:

  • Responsible for supporting Business Operations Manager in all day-to-day activities of business unit operations and objectives, including but not limited to monthly reporting, business unit reviews, site visits, staff meetings, team meetings & strategy sessions
  • Leads Woodland Hills core staffing and demand planning activities
  • Preparation and coordination of charts and briefings for Business Unit and Division Reviews; delivering presentations to executive management and other stakeholders
  • Adherence to all internal processes, policies, and applicable industry standards
  • Manage and assist in the development of the annual operating plan
  • Leads involvement in engagement survey action planning, business growth objectives, affordability & digital transformation initiatives
  • Drives collaboration and coordination with all functional organizations across the Business Unit
  • Ensures that NCTA and Capital projects are completed on schedule and within budget
  • Monitors and status NCTA, and capital projects with executive leadership

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 8 years’ experience or Master’s Degree and 5 years’ experience in project management role supporting site Demand Planning and or other financial reporting experience
  • Demonstrated ability to learn and master complex computer applications to include on-line tools and knowledge managing NCTA and Capital projects
  • Strong skills with MS Office products, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
  • Approach work with a high level of professionalism and sense of urgency
  • Must possess an active DoD Secret Clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with or mastery of any of the following computer applications: Confluence, Salesforce, SharePoint, RDIS/SIMPL, Tableau
  • Experience and working understanding of financial records and reports
  • Experience conducting meetings at an Executive Leadership level


Salary Range: $122,200 USD - $183,400 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
