Candidates who express an interest may be considered for future positions at Northrop Grumman.      Northrop Grumman Mission Systems (NGMS) is looking for you to join our team as an Sr Principal or Staff EMI/EMC Design Engineer based out of Woodland Hills, CA.    What You’ll get to Do:   This position is for an electrical engineer experienced in hardware design and design analysis for EMI/EMC compliance. The selected candidate will perform system level decomposition of EMI/EMC requirements, will develop EMI/EMC design requirements at sub-system level, will perform design analysis to verify compliance, and support hardware design engineering to ensure compliance with EMI/EMC requirements.       WOODLANDHILLS NGFeaturedJobs

Basic Qualifications:   

• 9+ years of experience with a Bachelors of Science in Electrical Engineering
• Hardware design experience for EMI/EMC compliance
• Expertise in MIL-STD 461 and MIL-STD 464 and DO-160
• Technical ability to support decomposition of System level EMI/EMC requirements to sub-assembly level.
• Technical ability to perform risk assessment with respect to compliance with EMI/EMC requirements.
• Technical ability to perform EMI/EMC design and analysis at both system and hardware levels
• Technical ability to develop, document, and maintain EMI/EMC requirements at sub-system level
• Design experience with EMI Filters and Lighting protection
• Experience with Cable design
• Experience with modeling and simulation using SPICE
• Active DoD Secret Clearance 

  Preferred Qualifications
 

• M.S. in Electrical Engineering
• Proficiency in using CST CAE tools
• Experience in Signal Integrity analysis, working knowledge in using Cadence Signal Integrity analysis tool
• Experience with sub-system and system level EMI/EMC test
