Peraton’s Civil & Health sector is seeking a System Architect to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals in Woodlawn, MD.

This role is crucial to the success of our team. The successful job candidate must have excellent communication skills and be a detail-oriented self-starter. The qualified individual will be part of a collaborative and agile team that supports and builds modern, standards-based responsive web applications & systems for mission-critical health IT solutions. The right candidate will help with competitive solutioning activities. Provide technical expertise in areas including custom software development, enterprise architecture development, digital services and emerging technologies. As an integral part of our team, support active systems, business development, and proposal activity.  Provide expert input on solution design, troubleshooting/resolving systems issues, resource estimating and pricing. Roles and Responsibilities: The chosen candidate will be a member of a multi-disciplinary team supporting applications for Peraton’s Healthcare systems. In this role, the System Architect will be expected to: •    Quickly come up to speed on technical capabilities and past performance in order to effectively leverage existing skills and capabilities within proposed solution architectures.
•    Troubleshoot & resolve active systems issues to ensure production environment reliability & stability
•    Analyze and interpret procurement requirements, and assist with responses. 
•    Liaise with your counterparts on engineering and delivery teams to provide expert opinions on ability to meet new government requirements. 
•    Design technical solutions (strategy and approach) for large, enterprise-wide proposals, as well as task order responses for IT business opportunities. 
•    Participate in team discussions to assess competitive strengths and weaknesses, win themes and discriminators, unique features and benefits, critical success factors, and cost/schedule/performance trade-offs. 
•    Contribute to marketing briefings and other materials as need arises throughout the capture lifecycle on opportunities. 
•    Provide technical input as needed into proposal components such as work breakdown structures, staffing levels, project organization, transition planning, performance work statements/metrics, quality assurance, risk mitigation, and pricing. 
•    Attend and document customer visits, site surveys, and trade shows/conferences to gather and convey marketing intelligence on emerging requirements and technologies. 
•    Working with our Capture Managers, translate customer needs into compelling solutions for proposals. 
•    Serve as Subject Matter Expert to team members in responding to technical requirements within core competencies. 

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field of study, and 9 years of hands-on Systems Engineer/Architecture experience in Enterprise level environments or a Master's degree in relevant field of study, and 7 years of hands-on Systems Engineer/Architecture experience in Enterprise level environments. 
  • Minimum of 3 years of technical proposal support & capture experience, with a demonstrated track record of wins. 
  • Must have experience responding to RFP’s & RFQ’s in the FedHealth, Enterprise Health, and/or Federal Gov industries, as it pertains to proposal & capture efforts. 
  • Ability to cultivate productive working relationships with internal managers and peers as well as partners, consultants, and Gov Clients. 
  • Must have experience facilitating collaboration towards innovative technical solutions. 
  • Maintain completeness, timeliness and accuracy of all deliverables. 
  • Solid interpersonal, verbal and written communication, and organizational skills 
  • Deep understanding of cloud computing (AWS) technologies across Windows and Linux 
  • Strong experience with Hadoop, Snowflake and Databricks 
  • Strong experience with AWS Glue, Matillion, Informatica and similar technologies 
  • Experience with Tableau in AWS 
  • Experience designing/re-designing environments to client requirements (where existing or new) keeping operations, performance, security, and cost in mind.
  • Experience working with multiple Open Source & COTS technologies. 
  • Experience working in Automated, Agile, and DevOps focused projects.
  • US Citizenship or US Permanent Residency (green card status) in order to to obtain a  US Public Trust clearance
Preferred Qualifications:
  • AI/ML; NiFi; Kafka; SOLR; Workspaces
  • Application development & debugging experience: Java, Python, Node.JS, et
  • Agile SAFe experience
  • AWS SA – Professional or AWS DevOps – Professional certification
  • Prior experience supporting CMS projects & programs
