Every day, our 10,000 employees do the can’t be done, solving the most daunting challenges facing our customers.   Peraton is seeking a Manager, Systems Engineering to support to Social Security Administration in Woodlawn, MD.   Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for the execution of a Work Order on a staff augmentation contract
  • Assist the Task Order Manager in providing strategies and direction of all technical Work Orders within the scope of the Task Order
  • Direct all phases of the Work Order from inception through completion including cost, schedule and technical performance of each Work Order
  • Lead and coordinates as needed the preparation of proposals, business plans, proposal work statements and specifications, operating budgets and financial terms/conditions of contract
  • Assist with quality, innovation, resource management, etc., to drive efficiencies while demonstrating compliance with corporate management standards
  • Engages with the client and other stakeholders face-to-face, via telephone, and through email to establish relationships, understand requirements, and communicate accomplishments or issues
  • Ensures senior management is engaged and familiar with task order area direction
  • Provide leadership, coaching, and clear instructions to Activity Leads responsible for the execution of the Work Order
  • Continuously, identifies opportunities for organic and continued new growth in contract value
  • Creates and maintains the Risk and Opportunity Register
  • Leads and participates on proposal development teams, as either writer, reviewer, or section lead
  • Provides leadership to program staff through coaching, mentoring, and other staff development approaches
  • Provide Technical Leadership as needed in using an Agile Lifecycle process in analysis, design, development, and testing of state of the art applications
  • Conduct quarterly one-on-one with the direct report and stand up weekly team meeting
  • Other duties as assigned

Basic Qualifications:  To be considered for this position, you must minimally meet the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed below:
  • Bachelor’s degree and 7 years of experience in IT related field or Master’s degree and 5 years of experience in IT related field, or 11 years of experience in IT related field in lieu of degree.
  • Minimum of 6 years of experience leading teams and doing project management
  • Minimum of 6 years of combined experience managing security platforms, cyber security, security tools, and/or compliance related projects or programs
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust Clearance
  • Must be a US Citizen or Green card holder
  Preferred Qualifications: 
  • Previous Social Security Administration experience as a task order or work order manager
  • Excellent interpersonal and strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Must be a self-starter and able to maintain a high level of customer satisfaction
  • Knowledge of managing Risk Management Frameworks (NISS 800-53), Security Information Assessments, and Enterprise Risk Management tools and systems
  • Experience with Authentication Risk Assessments, Security Compliance Analysis and Support, Audit remediation, Data Loss Prevention, Vulnerability Management
  • Experience with Data Analytics & Reporting, Software Asset Management and Security Exceptions, Continuous Diagnostics and Mitigation (CDM), and Security Engineering – Infrastructure Support
  • Holds an Ethical Hacker (CEH), Risk Management Assurance and/or a Security+ certification is a plus.
