The qualified applicant will support our Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) customer under the Business Operations Support Center (BOSC) Program.  As the Business Process Analyst on the CBOSC Production Operation Support Desk team, the candidate will be required to support the following:  Roles and Responsibilities: 
  • Contribute to the creation of business processes, document operating procedures, business process models and performing other tasks that demonstrate technical understanding of production operations.
  • Reading and understanding Interface Control documents and Requirement Documents.
  • Analyzing, assessing and aiding in the resolution of technical issues preventing normal business processes from completing as expected.
    • Understand the function of supported systems, and how customers use them.
    • Identify trends in technical issues encountered and communicate proactive resolutions accordingly to reduce ticket volumes.
    • Understand the configuration of supported systems and other IT related issues that might prevent customers from using the system.
  • Every POSD Analyst owns resolutions and is expected to share information across the organization to assist in more effective issue resolution.
  • Creating and updating SNOW Inquiry Management System cases, maintaining excellent notes and status information to demonstrate issues are being worked.
  • Performing Trend Analysis using data from multiple sources.
    • Utilize all data available to proactively recognize trends.
  • Functioning as a business analyst and technical Subject Matter Expert.
    • POSD Analysts maintain a goal of identifying technical issues before they are raised by the customer to influence program and system changes to positively reflect the program’s commitment to proactive solutions.
  • Monitoring and analyzing all production systems, jobs, and interfaces.
  • Developing and maintaining Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and creating custom reports to fulfill customer requests in accordance with the Statement or Work (SOW).
  • POSD strives to act as a technical consultant not only to end-users but to the CMS customer as well on best practices, technical solutions, and possible risks.
  • Other duties as assigned in the best interest of the Program.

Basic Qualifications: To be considered for this position, you must minimally meet the knowledge, skills and abilities listed below:
  • Bachelor’s degree with 3 years of relevant experience in an analytical role from a business perspective or a Master's degree with 1 year of relevant experience in an analytical role from a business perspective.  An additional 4 years of experience can be substituted in lieu of a Bachelor's degree
  • Knowledge of process re-engineering initiatives or process improvement, project management principles, and analytical techniques and practices
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent efforts
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; Power Point, Word, Excel, and Visio
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills to provide project status and updates to management
  • Strong analytical capabilities with demonstrated skill in evaluating information, identifying issues, noting trends, and reporting to management
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication, and organizational
  • Deadline and task closure oriented
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, rapidly evolving environment with varying priorities, based on a team building culture
  • US Citizenship or Permanent Residency (Green Card holder) in order to obtain and maintain a US Public Trust security clearance. 

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Healthcare industry knowledge, CMS experience.
  • Holds an active CMS Position of Public Trust designation.
