Northrop Grumman Space Systems is currently seeking a Food Service Associate 2. This position is located at the Promontory Utah facility.

Role description & Responsibilities:
Performs a variety of tasks associated with the kitchen and dining areas.
Prepares dining and serving areas for service.
Assists level 3 and 4 associates with daily preparation of meals and the ability to lead associates 1 in their absence.
Responsible for cleaning the kitchen area to include floors, equipment, dish room, as well as general area cleaning.
Responsible for picking up and storing food items, cleaning supplies, and paper products.
FSA-1 duties also will include being responsible for sanitation, cleanliness and ensuring the kitchen is visually appealing and orderly.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or G.E.D.
Minimum of three (3) years’ relevant experience in corporate or banquet style kitchen environment.
A valid driver’s license.
Ability to drive a small cargo van or large SUV.
ServSafe or Food Handlers Certification within 30 days of hire.
Prepare entrees with minimal to no direction. Prepare salads, sandwiches, fruits, vegetables, bakery items and other foods for distribution. Measure, mix, chop, cut, slice, stir and/or blend a variety of ingredients used in food preparation.
Prepare standardized meals according to recipe standards in a timely manner.
Serve meals on serving lines; set out prepared foods; replenish containers as necessary; assist with setting up the cafeteria; assist with catering activities.
Clean and sanitize work areas, tables, serving counters, tables, chairs, and food containers; prepare food and beverages for sale; count and set-up plates, trays, and utensils.
Perform routine cashiering duties if needed.
Operate standard food service equipment such as slicers, warmers, and ovens.
Follow established health, safety, and sanitation principles applicable to food serving and kitchen maintenance.
Prepare and maintain daily logs to include inventory food and supplies.
Maintain food service facility, equipment and utensils in a clean and sanitary condition.
Sweep and mop floors to assure a safe and sanitary work environment.
Operate a computer, calculator and assigned software.
Attend meetings, in-service training and workshops as assigned.
Other food service duties as assigned by management.
