Northrop Grumman Propulsion Systems is currently recruiting for an experienced Administrative Assistant for our Promontory, Utah location.

Job Description:

This position will be providing support to the Operations Director and Value Stream leadership team.  As such, this individual will be expected to review/create various types of correspondence including high-level and confidential/proprietary information.

Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

  • Provide administrative support to multiple leaders and employees in a fast paced aerospace manufacturing environment

  • Manage and maintain directors’ calendars and schedules

  • Manage conference room schedules

  • Schedule meetings, track action items and coordinate technical reviews

  • Schedule, organize and plan employee events and celebrations

  • Ensure appropriate meeting preparations are made (coordination of call in number, meeting materials, etc…) for both internal and external meetings

  • Screen and initiate phone calls

  • Coordinate travel arrangements (both Domestic and International) and process expense reports

  • Create neat and accurate correspondence, forms, reports, spreadsheets, presentations, etc. from notes or handwritten copy and maintain all related files

  • File and retrieve corporate documents, records and reports

  • Open, sort, and distribute incoming correspondence, including faxes and email

  • Compose responses to routine inquiries

  • Assist in compiling weekly managerial status reports

  • Maintain department metric status and visual boards

  • Create, maintain and follow-up on action lists

  • Maintain staff meeting agendas and notes

  • Interact in a positive way with other staff members and be a leader and team player with the administrative team

  • Other duties as assigned

Basic Qualifications:

  • Candidate must have 4-6 years of experience in professional executive administrative assistant support

  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office applications; including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook

  • Ability to work routine jobs with limited supervision

  • Ability to be proactive and meet deadlines

  • Ability to adapt to rapidly changing priorities and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced office environment

  • Must be articulate and possess excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Must have excellent organizational skills with a high attention to detail

  • Must have highest level of integrity and be able to maintain confidences with utmost discretion

  • Ability to use copy machine, fax machine, and multiple phone lines

  • The physical demands that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job include:

    • Regularly required to sit

    • Required to reach with hands and arms

    • Required to stand and climb/descend stairs; walk and stoop, kneel, and crouch

    • Must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 lbs.

    • Required to go up and down stairs, sometimes carrying up to 5 (or 10) lbs.

Education/Certifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent GED required (education will be verified)

Preferred Experience:

  • Knowledge of government customers preferred

  • Previous experience in aerospace or manufacturing environment preferred

Salary Range: $44,800 USD - $74,600 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
