Northrop Grumman's Corporate office is seeking a well-qualified Administrative Assistant in Falls Church, VA. The selected candidate will be required to work on-site, full-time, at our Falls Church, VA campus. The position of Administrative Assistant to the Vice President of Air Force Programs, within the Corporate Chief Strategy and Development Office, both oversees and manages the day-to-day internal operation of the office and provides executive-level administrative support for the Vice President of Air Force Programs. This position requires strong interpersonal skills in order to maintain contact and work effectively with all levels of management, employees, and internal/ external stakeholders; it also requires the appropriate client focus to be projected at all times. This individual must be articulate, with excellent written and verbal communication skills, and have a heightened sense of confidentiality while performing a wide variety of sensitive administrative and support tasks for the Vice President of Air Force Programs. The successful candidate must be a self-starter, able to independently execute tasks, and will be expected to multi-task and balance daily activities with managing projects to completion. The use of good judgment, discretion, and uncompromising standards of quality, integrity, and performance are essential.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree with 6 years of experience, or Bachelor's degree with 4 years of experience; a High School diploma or equivalent with 8 years of experience may be considered in lieu of a completed degree.

  • Strong MicroSoft Office skills.

  • Current DoD Secret security clearance is required on Day 1; maintaining the required security clearance will be a condition of continued employment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree with 3 years of experience providing administrative support for a senior USAF executive.

  • Current DoD Top Secret/SCI security clearance.


Salary Range: $73,200 USD - $122,000 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
