Northrop Grumman’s Aeronautics Systems sector is currently hiring a Program Manager 3 to join our Delta Systems and Software Configuration 6 (DSSC6) integrated product team (IPT) team of qualified, diverse individuals on our Multi-Domain Command and Control (MDC2) Business Unit. This position will be located in Melbourne, Florida.  

This position will be responsible all cost, schedule and performance for programs within the DSSC6 IPT.  This person will manage the cost, schedule and technical performance of contract(s) and lead shaping program requirements for follow-on efforts.  Experience with the E-2C/E-2D platform and/or System of System capabilities is strongly desired in this role.  You will act as primary customer interface for DSSC6 program activities, leading program review sessions with customer to discuss cost, schedule, and technical performance.  Establishes and manages milestones and monitors adherence to master plans and schedules, identifies program risks and opportunities, and obtains solutions, such as allocation of resources or changing contractual specifications. Directs and manages the work of employees assigned to the program from technical, operations and administrative.

The successful candidate must have a record of achieving successful outcomes by leading diverse technical teams, navigating internal processes, communicating with customers, creating a work environment that engages our employees, managing suppliers, bringing clarity and clear direction to ambiguous situations, excelling in the fundamentals of program management and perceptive use of predictive metrics. 

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree and 9+ years of related professional/military experience with a background in project/program management, OR a Master’s degree AND 7+ years of related professional/military experience with a background in project/program management.
  • Must have at least 5 years of experience leading the performance of tasks on schedule and at or under cost.
  • Must have an active DoD Secret clearance that is in-scope (granted or renewed in the last 6 years).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with integration of mission systems and advanced concepts supporting platforms like E-2D.
  • Able to attain and maintain Special Program Access (PAR) within a reasonable amount of time as determined by business needs.
  • Able to attain and maintain DoD Top Secret/SCI clearance
  • Experience managing program/projects of > $20 Million / year with P&L responsibilities
  • Certified by Project Management Institute as a Project Management Professional (PMP)
  • Demonstrated experience meeting customer needs, building strong relationships with strategic partners and guiding program teams and support functions to take action to satisfy customer expectations
  • Willingness to travel up to 25% of time

Salary Range: $152,100 USD - $228,100 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
