Northrop Grumman has an opening for a Principal Proposal Analyst (Level 3) or a Senior Principal Proposal Analyst (Level 4) to join our team of diverse, qualified individuals! This position will be located in Redondo Beach, CA.

Responsibilities will include, but not limited:

  • Submits written supplier price/cost analysis reports (PCARs) detailing the suppliers’ price/cost proposal as required by FAR Part 15 and the NGAS negotiation objective position

  • Coordinates the collection and accumulation of cost, scheduling, and performance elements from functional departments.

  • Coordinates activities and participates in fact-finding meetings.

  • Supports supplier negotiations and represents the supplier price/cost analysis position to customers as required

  • Maintains all records and supporting data used and provided in support of proposals

  • Conducts market research, analyze historical data and develop cost estimating models and factors to evaluate price reasonableness and develop negotiation positions

  • Reviews material estimates and reviews consolidated priced bill of material obtained by GSC

  • Serves as the principal liaison to other functional departments to facilitate the collection of cost and pricing data

  • Supports Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA) Proposal and Estimating System Audits and Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA) Purchasing System Audits as required

  • Responds to miscellaneous and external Global Supply Chain Business Management request for information regarding assigned suppliers

  • Analyze, Forecast and Track Supplier Cash/Expenditures

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree and 6 years of relevant experience for a level 3; 4 years with a Master’s for a level 3

  • Bachelor’s Degree and 10 years of relevant experience for a level 4; 8 years with a Master’s for a level 4

  • SAP experience

  • Must be able to obtain a TS and/or SCI clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

  • The ability to work well in team environments

  • Strong organizational, written, and oral communication skills

  • Ability to meet deadlines in a challenging, multi-tasking environment, while maintaining compliance during all stages of the proposal/acquisition process

  • Experience in capture and proposal activities in a government acquisition environment

  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and apply sound judgment to problem solving

  • Working experience with Microsoft Office (Specifically Excel and Word)

  • Previous experience with SAP

  • Previous experience with a cleared customer

  • TS and/or SCI Clearance


Salary Range: $86,300 USD - $129,500 USD
Salary Range 2: $107,000 USD - $160,600 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
