Job Description

This requisition may be filled at a higher grade based on qualifications listed below.

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Level 2 Proposal Analyst to join our team of diverse, qualified individuals! This position supports Pricing and Estimating and is located on site in Melbourne, Florida.

Provide the Contracts Operations support for the Strike Division Contracts organization. Ensuring continuity, innovation and understanding of contracts policy, process, systems, and tools.  Directly supporting the Strike Division Contracts Director and providing leadership and guidance to maximize operational efficiency.

Essential Functions:

  • Develops, plans and schedules proposals
  • Compiles cost, schedule, and technical elements in the development of proposals in accordance with request for proposal (RFP) specifications
  • Coordinates the collection and accumulation of cost, scheduling, and performance elements from functional departments
  • Researches and analyzes historical data, develops cost models to support proposal efforts
  • Coordinates activities and participates in fact-finding meetings
  • Participates in should-cost and pricing reviews with management and customer representatives
  • Participates as a member of the contract negotiating team

Basic Qualifications for Level 2 Proposal Analyst:

  • Bachelor's degree with 1+ years of experience with experience in the following areas: Proposal development, Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Pricing, Estimating and/or related experience
  • Experience with government proposal process
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word and PowerPoint)
  • Active DoD Secret Clearance (contingency)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MS Excel with Pivot tables, VLOOKUP and Macros
  • Experience with Propricer, Basis of Estimate Development Software, SAP
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to effectively manage competing priorities and deadlines
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent problem solving and organizational skills
  • Knowledge of FAR/DFARS

Salary Range: $60,600 USD - $75,700 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
