Space Systems Sector:

Space Systems Sector designs, develops, manufactures, and integrates spacecraft systems, subsystems, sensors, payloads, and ground systems to deliver mission capability to national security, science and environmental, communications , on-orbit servicing, and human-rated space systems for earth orbit and deep-space exploration missions.

Space Systems Sector Proposal Operations has an opening for a Proposal Analyst  to join our fast-paced, dynamic, diverse, and accomplished Proposal Operations team. This position is in Dulles, VA. The selected candidate must be able to work on site when required and be willing and able to travel, as needed (up to 25%). Flexible/hybrid work arrangements are possible at times and will vary based on proposal assignments.

Our mission is to apply proven proposal execution strategies, process, and leadership to teams across the sector to ensure successful, compliant, compelling, and on time proposal submissions. The proposals we work on include top Sector Priority Win and other major competitive pursuits. This enables our staff to step into a variety of roles and responsibilities, including leading and supporting small and large teams to competitive wins, gaining valuable experience and exposure, and learning technical and strategic skills that can be used toward future success. Candidates for this position will demonstrate a broad skill set that is balanced across leadership, collaboration, innovation, communication, project management, risk management, and proposal-based capabilities. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Support proposal teams developing responses to RFIs, RFPs, and BAAs from DoD, NASA, and other U.S. Government customers
• Provide pre-proposal planning support to the Proposal Manager and Capture Manager
• Establish and maintain virtual and physical workspaces for proposal execution and ensure configuration control of proposal documents
• Assist in defining RFP required proposal deliverables
• Assist with developing and executing the Proposal Development Plan, including the proposal schedule, outlines, compliance matrix, templates, style guides, truth wall, proposal status
• Assist in development of compliant, compelling proposal deliverables.
• Assist in scheduling and facilitating proposal content reviews.
• Assist with finalizing proposal documents for delivery.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 3+ years of relevant experience (or master’s degree with 1 year)
• Prior proposal experience required.
• Ability to understand and apply established proposal process.
• Persistence and tenacity to meet deadlines in a challenging, multi-tasking environment
• Excellent oral, written, and presentation communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• Able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite)

Preferred Qualifications

• Team leadership experience
• Analytical and detail oriented with strong project management skills
• Experience working on proposal teams responding to U.S. Government requests for proposalsActive DoD Secret, Top Secret and/or SCI security clearance

Salary Range: $70,200 USD - $105,200 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
