A unique opportunity has arisen for a Manager for strategic development, operational planning, and analysis supporting Northrop Grumman’s long range strike as part of an integrated team based in Washington, DC and Melbourne, FL. The Manager, Strategic Planning 3 will be responsible for: 1) interfacing with the warfighter/operator community to understand and anticipate needs and inform the development of solutions; 2) identifying emerging challenges and opportunities; 3) collaboratively developing and executing strategies to protect and grow our business; 4) providing operational and programmatic expertise to support quick-turn and in-depth analysis and decision-making by senior NGC executives.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree and 10 years, or Master’s and 8 years’ experience supporting U.S. Government contracts and customers and/or project management in other industries
• An additional 4 years of related and applicable experience may be substituted for the Bachelors degree requirement
• Proven depth, knowledge and understanding of US long-range strike systems
• Experience with US Air Force / Department of Defense policy, planning, budgeting, and execution process. 
• Moderate travel time is expected for the position, primarily between primary locations and at times to varying customer/client sites
• An active Secret or Top Secret security clearance is required, with the ability to obtain a Program access clearance as needed and within a reasonable timeframe to meet business objectives.

Preferred Qualifications: 

• 20+ years’ Air Force experience is preferred
• Experience in military air operations, low observability tactics and technology, military strategy, planning, budgeting, and acquisition, and the development and/or employment of low observable aircraft and other advanced air capabilities is preferred.
• Prior experience within Office of Secretary of Defense, Joint Staff, and/or Air Staff, plus STRATCOM or AF Global Strike Command are highly preferred. 
• Prior involvement and experience with stealth bombers is preferred. 
• The applicant must be able to function as part of an integrated team. 
• Strong analytic capabilities, excellent writing and communications skills are required (sample work products may be requested).

Salary ranges will be dependent upon where the position is based and follows our company geographic salary bands aligned with position. Specific salary offer for candidate selected will be commensurate with experience.

This position reports to Falls Church, VA, USA, however, this position can also be worked from Melbourne, FL, FL, USA.

Salary Range: $138,400 USD - $240,400 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
