Northrop Grumman Mission Systems (NGMS) is seeking a Manger of strategic planning within the Sector Strategic Planning and Development organization. The Manager will be an integral part of the team providing support for all phases of mergers and acquisitions (M&A) strategic partnerships, strategic investments, and divestitures for NGMS. This is NOT a remote opportunity.

Reporting directly to the Sector Director of strategic planning and development, the candidate will support division, sector, and corporate leadership teams to develop long-range goals and M&A strategy as well as identify opportunities that could fill strategic gaps and drive profitable growth. The successful candidate will, conduct assessments and design inorganic strategies as part of our proactive investment approach, source and evaluate candidates for acquisition aligned with sector strategy, support the corporate M&A team (and work as the MS liaison) with deal execution including coordinating due diligence activities and assisting with structuring, deal negotiations and integration activities, prepare presentations for executive leadership, conduct special projects that including market surveillance, scenario analysis, valuation, and other relevant areas.

In addition, the successful candidate with work closely with (and support as needed), strategic planning, resource allocation and other functions of the team.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree with a minimum 8 years of experience or master’s degree with a minimum 6 years of experience in business, finance, technical or a related discipline
  • Ability to collect, analyze and synthesize business and financial insights from multiple sources.
  • Previous corporate development, investment banking, private equity, management consulting, or other relevant work experience with exposure to M&A
  • Experience in financial analysis and strategy development
  • Proficient Microsoft Office skills
  • US Citizen and ability to obtain a Secret clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MBA or other, relevant graduate degree. A technical degree coupled with relevant business education or relevant work experience will also be considered.
  • Specific experience in the aerospace and/or defense industry
  • Strong analytical, statistical, and critical thinking skills paired with the ability to visualize/communicate in a meaningful manner.
  • Dynamic self-starter with strong attention to detail, strong work ethic, ability to handle multiple priorities, and the ability to function with minimal guidance.
  • Advanced MS PowerPoint and Excel skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively with senior levels of management.
  • Current DOD Secret or Top-Secret clearance

Salary Range: $112,000 USD - $168,000 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
