Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking a Staff Contracts Administrator (Level 5) to join its team of qualified and diverse individuals supporting its Launch and Missile Defense Systems Division, specifically the Advanced Mission Solutions (AMS), Operating Unit (OU).   

Note: This position will be in Colorado Springs, CO. 

The successful candidate will be a direct report to AMS OU Contracts Manager and will work closely on a day-to-day basis with the OU Program Managers/Directors, Business Managers, Operations Managers, Capture Managers, and functional teams throughout the OU.  

Job duties and responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:
 

  • Responsible for all aspects of a contract portfolio from the business development phase through closeout, delivering customer satisfaction, building customer relationships and providing timely responses to both external and internal customers
  • Provide contracts support to major capture and proposal efforts, on-going program efforts to include proposal preparations and negotiations, up to and through contract closeout
  • Act as lead for all customer communications and correspondence, authoring Contracts Management proposal sections, preparing representations and certifications, OCI sweeps, analyzing terms and conditions, technical data rights and assertions and guiding the proposal through the proposal approval process
  • Be the lead (or co-lead) contracts representative for these major proposals and will be in a high visibility position requiring consistent interaction with proposal teams and frequent interaction with senior management
  • Responsible for prioritizing proposal tasks and activities
  • Be key business advisor to the program managers on contractual and operational matters
  • Plan and execute successful contract negotiations of a complex nature, and achieving targeted profit rates,  favorable terms and conditions on both contracts and other agreements

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree with 15+ years relevant experience in contract administration/management or related field – OR – Master’s Degree with 10+ years relevant work experience
  • Experience working large competitive DoD proposals including negotiating and administering various contract types and agreements
  • Understanding of FAR and DFRA
  • Ability to travel 10% of time
  • Current, active US Government Secret Clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Current, active US Government Top Secret Clearance


Salary Range: $120,600 USD - $181,000 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
