Northrop Grumman is seeking a motivated, cleared Contract Administrator / Principal Contract Administrator to join the Tactical Fighters Business Unit’s (TF BU) Advanced Tactical Programs Operating Unit (ATP OU) contracts team. The successful candidate will be a direct report to the ATP OU Contracts Manager and will work closely on a day-to-day basis with program management, business management, Global Supply Chain, and other functional teams throughout the OU.  This position will be located in our Mission Systems Sector in Baltimore, MD.

Roles and responsibilities of the Contracts Representative will encompass the following:

Administers, extends, negotiates and terminates standard and nonstandard contracts. Conducts proposal preparation, contract negotiation, contract administration, and customer contact activities to provide for proper contract acquisition and fulfillment in accordance with company policies, legal requirements, and customer specifications. Prepares bids; processes specifications, progress, and other reports; advises management of contractual rights and obligations; compiles and analyzes data; and maintains historical information.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Contract Administrator (A02): Bachelor’s degree and 3 years of experience in contracts-related field OR 1 year with a Master’s OR 7 years of relevant experience in lieu of degree.

  • Principal Contract Administrator (A03): Bachelor's degree and 6 years of experience in contracts-related field OR 4 years with a Master's OR 10 years of relevant experience in lieu of degree.

  • Active Secret level security clearance

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbally and written, with both internal and external customers

  • Working knowledge of FAR/DFARS as well as experience with different contract types

  • Ability to efficiently and effectively research and locate FAR/DFARS information. Ability to understand regulatory changes and their impact on contracts/subcontracts.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, specifically PowerPoint

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with SAP/SAR programs

  • Experience in the Aerospace Industry

  • Earned Value Management Customer Reporting experience


Salary Range: $67,000 USD - $104,000 USD
Salary Range 2: $82,400 USD - $123,600 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
