Northrop Grumman  Space Systems is seeking a Principal Contract Administrator to join its team of qualified and diverse individuals supporting the Space Security Contracts team. This is a unique opportunity to build experience, mentoring relationships and career growth by contributing to the Contracts role. This position is in Dulles, VA; and offers unique flexibility while supporting the Contracts team. 

 

The Contract Administrator will produce high quality Contract Management related products supporting the NGSP Tactical Space Systems Division (TSSD) Space Security Systems (SPS) programs. This position requires a basic understanding of DOD contracting, excellent communication skills, strong technology acumen in M365, as well as interpersonal and organizational skills. The ideal candidate is a team player; but also, a strong independent contributor with strong leadership skills, demonstrated problem-solving skills, and a proactive, detail-oriented approach. 

 

The Contract/Principal Contract Administrator will be required to deal effectively with competing priorities and deadlines and handle multiple tasks. The Contract Administrator must possess the ability to work well with others in high-stress high-volume situations, effectively interface with internal functional and program organizations, and meet the goals/objectives of the SPS business unit. 

 

Roles and responsibilities of the Contracts Administrator will include the following: 

• Support the development of metrics, reports and responses to data calls 

• Support the creation, logistics and delivery of training to contracts’ professionals 

• Assist with digital transformation for the Contracts’ team 

• Maintain and update contract documents and official program records, including contractual documents and correspondence 

• Research contract issues and prepare analysis with citations 

• Support proposal preparation, contract negotiation, contract administration, and customer contact activities to provide for proper contract acquisition and fulfillment in accordance with company policies, legal requirements, and customer specifications.

Basic Qualifications for Principal Contract Administrator (Level 3): 

• This position requires an active Top Secret clearance with the ability to obtain SCI 

• Candidate must have at least six (6) years of relevant Contracts, Subcontracts, or Procurement Administration, or directly related experience with a bachelor's degree, four (4) years of experience with a master's degree , or 10 years of a combination of education and relevant experience

• Strong technical acumen in M365 

• Strong problem solving and analytical skills; ability to make recommendations and effectively bring projects to completion 

 

Preferred Qualifications: 

• Working knowledge of FAR, DFAR, and UCC as well as experience with different contract types 

• Experience supporting ECPs and REAs 

• Extensive Proposal Support is a plus 

• NCMA Certification (CPCM, CFCM and/or CCCM) 

 
Salary Range for Level 3: $86,300 – $129,500 

 

Salary Range: $86,300 USD - $129,500 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
