SSSD has an opening for a Senior Manager on our Business Management team in Redondo Beach, CA. This position will report directly to the Sagittarius Business Manager, AIM Operating Unit.

The Program Control Manager 3 will be leading the program control efforts on the Sagittarius Program. In this role, the candidate will provide business management leadership to a program control team including managers and have a close working relationship with contracts, pricing, and schedule management organizations. A successful candidate will be able to provide a vision for financial execution, planning, and staff development for the business management team. The candidate will have customer interactions on financials, funding, risks, and Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS).  The Cost Manager interfaces regularly with the Customer, Contracts, Scheduling, Human Resources, and Compliance.

The candidate selected will have a thorough understanding and working knowledge of Program Management to include financial Contract Data Requirements List (CDRL) deliveries, Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS), funding analysis, proposal development, risk management, and team leadership.

This position requires the incumbent to possess a Department of Defense (DoD) active Top Secret (TS) security clearance or access to Special Compartmentalized Information (SCI).

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Management of program business systems and coordinating monthly business processes to enable the delivery of successful products to the program and customer.
  • Responsible for compliance to internal/external Earned Value Management System (EVMS) requirements
  • Communicating financial impacts to VPs and customer based on program execution, risks, and contractual requirements.
  • Interface with IPTs and Schedule Management team to ensure accurate monthly Earned Value Management cost and schedule data for the program.
  • Provide guidance and direction over Intercompany Work Order (IWO) and Subcontract performers.
  • Customer counterpart interface and maintaining customer relationship. 
  • High acumen for problem solving as this role requires the identification of issues and problems across multiple contracts to make recommendations to management for resolution.
  • Resources planning and staffing; employee engagement, staff development, including employee goal setting, annual reviews, and issues resolution.
  • Collaborate across other functional teams to ensure the success of program priorities.
  • Ability to interpret and apply company policies & procedures that address compliance/charging guidance regarding labor, material, travel, and other direct cost (ODC) expenses.

Basic Qualifications:

  • An active DoD TS Clearance and/or SCI Access is required.
  • Bachelor’s Degree with 10 years of experience in business finance to include program cost control and planning or 8 years of stated experience with a Master’s Degree
  • Leadership Experience
  • Experience with Earned Value Management (EVMS)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s Degree
  • Experience leading programs and staff.
  • Current or previous experience working with restricted customers.
  • 5 or more years on large programs requiring contractual EVMS implementation.
  • Experience as a user of COBRA and MPM

Salary Range: $160,200 USD - $240,400 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
