SSSD has an opening for a Financial Analyst or Principal Financial Analyst  on a growing financial team within the Advanced Mission Systems (AMS) Business Unit (BU). The Principal Financial Analyst will report to the Manager of Financial Integration and will be responsible for the financial analysis of the AMS BU.

*This role may be filled as a level 3 or level 2

This position requires a Department of Defense (DoD) active Top Secret (TS) security clearance or access to Special Compartmentalized Information (SCI).

Key responsibilities:

• Strategic planning, reporting, and analysis of key financial metrics (Sales, Margin, Cash, Awards) for the AMS BU. Includes quarterly Estimate-at-Complete (EAC) contract profitability assessment, cash flow/balance sheet management, risk and opportunity assessment.
• Support monthly and quarterly financial deliverables and analysis.
• Support development of the Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and Long-Range Strategic Plan (LRSP) through collaboration with Business and Program Management.
• Perform ad-hoc exercises for financial impact/profitability analysis.
• Collaborative work style: ability to interface with different functions and levels of leadership both within and outside of the BU.
• Operate in a dynamic environment with competing priorities, while maintaining attention to detail with little supervision.

Basic Qualifications (Level 3):

• Active TS Clearance and/or SCI Access
• Bachelor’s Degree with 6 years’ experience in Accounting, Business, Finance, Economics, Cost Control OR a Master’s Degree with 4 years of stated experience
• High proficiency with MS Office tools, especially Excel

Basic Qualifications (Level 2): 

• Active TS Clearance and/or SCI Access
• Bachelor’s Degree with 3 years’ experience in and combination of Accounting, Business, Finance, Economics, Const Control OR a Master’s Degree with 1 year of stated experience
• High proficiency with MS Office tools, especially Excel

 
Preferred Qualifications:

• Financial analysis and reporting including development of AOP, profitability/fee sheet, and cash flow analysis
• Experience with Northrop Grumman Space Systems financial reporting tools (SAP, BW, COGNOS)
• Prior experience in the aerospace & defense industry
• Analytical; makes recommendations using acquired data and experience
• Detail and results oriented; ability to deliver timely and accurate results under time sensitive conditions
• Excellent organizational and prioritization skills

Salary Range: $70,200 USD - $105,200 USD

Salary Range 2: $86,300 USD - $129,500 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
