An organization within Northrop Grumman’s Payload and Ground Systems (PGS) division, Cutting Edge Optronics is a leading provider of high-power laser diode arrays, high power pump modules and diode-pumped solid-state (DPSS) lasers. We are a vertically integrated manufacturer capable of supplying unmounted diode bars, packaged laser diodes, DPSS modules, laser diode drivers and complete DPSS laser systems. Northrop Grumman, Cutting Edge Optronics, is looking for a highly motivated Accounting Analyst. to work in our Saint Charles, MO facility. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, strong organizational and analytical skills, and the ability to handle multiple assignments. Under the supervision of the Controller the selected candidate will be responsible for the following: 

 

Job Duties in include but are not limited to:

  • Conduct general-ledger account reconciliations, verifying accuracy of data and identifying errors
  • Support monthly, quarterly, half-year, and year-end financial closes, including assigned journal entries, accruals, and overall maintenance of general-ledger accounts.
  • Prepare financial reports when requested by managers, collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends
  • Provide accounting guidance to functional departments
  • Perform Accounts Payable functions
  • Review travel & expense (T&E) reports and monthly statements; process T&E reimbursements
  • Reconcile and process intercompany billings and allocations
  • File accounting records (i.e. invoices, statements, journal entries, etc.)
  • Serve as a backup for Purchase Requisition processing
  • Maintain and update Purchase Order delivery dates in ERP system
  • Serve as a backup for Accounts Receivable functions
  • Support sign-in security at business office    
  • Identify cost savings opportunities and process efficiencies
  • Research of GAAP and tax law change impact
  • Responsible for the adherence to and communication of accounting and auditing policies and procedures.

 

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in related field

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelors in Accounting
  • 2 years of experience in General Accounting
  • Prior experience with ERP Systems

Salary Range: $47,900 USD - $71,900 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
