Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking Program Controls - Financial Analyst – Senior Level to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. Our analyst will be located at our Magna, UT (Bacchus, UT) facility and will be onsite, with a potential to work remotely 1-day per week.

Duties & Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Setting up cost control system, monitors and controls costs and schedules on contracts requiring validated cost schedule control system.
  • Performing analyses and preparing reports in order to ensure that contracts are within negotiated values.
  • Preparing budgets and schedules for contract and NCTA work and performing and/or assisting in financial analyses such as funding profiles, sales outlook, and variance analysis.
  • Preparing program plans to ensure program requirements and statement of work are captured and scheduled.
  • Ensuring adequate funding availability by maintaining accurate records of expenditures, directing preparation of expenditure projections, and submitting timely requests for additional funding to the customer.
  • Incorporating contractual changes into control systems by staying aware of outstanding work against each contract in order to maintain realistic contract cost and schedule baselines.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree with 10+ years of experience in finance, accounting and/or industry related experience – OR – a Master’s degree with + years of experience in finance, accounting and/or industry related experience. May consider 4 additional years of experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Proven ability to prioritize multiple assignments to meet critical milestones.
  • Excellent analytical and reporting skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; Excel, Word, PowerPoint.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Degree in Business, Finance or Accounting.
  • Cost control, budgeting, and variance analysis experience.
  • Experience with SAP ERP, Cognos reporting, ProPricer, and/or PowerBI.
  • Advanced Excel Techniques (i.e. v/h lookups, pivot tables, VBA/Macros).

This position’s standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.


Salary Range: $92,400 USD - $138,600 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
