Northrop Grumman Defense Systems Sector is currently seeking a Principal Financial Reporting & Planning Analyst/ Sr Principal Financial Reporting & Planning Analyst to join our diverse professionals in McLean, VA. The selected candidate will become a part of our Sector Headquarters Controller team.

This position will report to the Manager of Financial Reporting and Manager of Financial Planning and Analysis and perform financial reporting and planning support and oversight activities for our NG Australia Division. This high impact role will work closely with sector, NG Australia Division and Program personnel.
 

Position Responsibilities and duties include:

  • Assist/Review the NG Australia Division monthly and quarterly financial close deliverables.
  • Assist/Review the NG Australia Division monthly financial forecast deliverables.
  • Coordinate NG Australia ERP and planning tools metadata changes/inputs
  • Coordinate and perform ad-hoc financial analysis over NG Australia results/forecast
  • Assist in implementing and coordinating financial close/forecasting process improvements with NG Australia
  • Provide financial reporting and planning support for other projects as assigned

Principal Financial Analyst:

Basic Qualifications:

  • Will consider 10 years of experience in lieu of degree. Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or related field, with a minimum of 6 years of relevant work experience or a Master’s degree and 4 years of relevant experience, CPA counts towards one additional year of experience
  • Experience with financial statements and general accounting principles
  • Experience with financial forecasting/planning


 

Sr Principal Financial Analyst:

Basic Qualifications:

  • Will consider 14 years of experience in lieu of degree. Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or related field, with a minimum of 10 years of relevant work experience or a Master’s degree and 8 years of relevant experience, CPA counts towards one additional year of experience.
  • Experience with financial statements and general accounting principles
  • Experience with financial forecasting/planning


 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certified public accountant
  • Experience with SAP, Business Warehouse, Precision and/or Hyperion Financial Management
  • Prior experience in business management, preferably in a PCA role
  • Self-motivated, yet functions well in a team environment
  • Detail and results oriented; ability to deliver timely and accurate results under time sensitive conditions
  • Analytical; makes recommendations using acquired data and cumulative experience.
  • Excellent organizational and prioritization skills

Salary Range: $86,300 USD - $129,500 USD
Salary Range 2: $107,000 USD - $160,600 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
