About Your Opportunity:

The Business Management Director will lead the Business Management function within the Northrop Grumman National Security Solutions (NSS) business unit, a profit and loss organisation within the Mission Systems Europe (MSE) Group.

The role is a key member of the NSS leadership team responsible for the financial and commercial performance of the business together with delivering the professional and compliant operation of the Financial Shared Service for NG UK Ltd. This role requires experience of leading a Business Management discipline, commercial nous, performance focus and change management experience.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Accountable for leadership of the NSS Business Management team and UK Financial Shared Service, including strategic planning, setting and meeting financial goals and accurate forecasting for NSS operations
  • Accountable for leadership of the NSS Contracts & Subcontracts team, ensuring commercial opportunities are maximised whilst contractual and supply chain risk is managed appropriately from a financial and overall delivery perspective
  • Accountable for leadership of the NSS Trade Compliance team, working closely with Sector Trade Compliance to ensure that NSS remain fully compliant with applicable trade policies and regulations
  • Lead, inspire and manage this multi-discipline function, fostering a culture which promotes high performance, recognises and develops talent, and upholds best practice people management
  • Act as a true business partner to the NSS Director in shaping and delivering the Annual Operating Plan and Long Range Strategic Plan

Your Experience:

  • A highly-experienced, commercial leader with a strong track record in high value pre- and post- contract management environments
  • Recent experience of working in a similar or related industry, e.g. Defence and Security
  • Proven experience of managing a complex UK and International business management portfolio within a corporate business environment
  • Evidenced experience of leading and developing a remote team of business management professionals
  • Substantial experience of undertaking business internationally and delivering value to an international stakeholder population
  • Demonstrable experience of conceiving, developing and driving strategic and innovative commercial initiatives

Your Future Team:

You will lead a team of c. 45 commercial and finance professionals based in Cheltenham and New Malden.
