Northrop Grumman Space Systems has an opening for a Program Cost Schedule Control Analyst – Level 2 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located either in Huntsville, AL or Colorado Springs, CO and will offer a hybrid working schedule.  Employees are required to be onsite a minimum of two days per week.

Job Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

• Setting up cost control system, monitors and controls costs and schedules on contracts requiring validated cost schedule control system
• Performing analyses and preparing reports in order to ensure that contracts are within negotiated values
• Preparing budgets and schedules for contract and NCTA work and performing or assisting in financial analyses such as funding profiles, sales outlook, and variance analysis
• Preparing program plans to ensure program requirements and statement of work are captured and scheduled
• Ensuring adequate funding availability by maintaining accurate records of expenditures, directing preparation of expenditure projections, and submitting timely requests for additional funding to the customer
• Incorporating contractual changes into control systems by staying aware of outstanding work against each contract in order to maintain realistic contract cost and schedule baselines

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years of experience of industry related experience – OR – Master’s degree and 1+ years of industry related experience
• May consider 4 years of additional experience in lieu of degree
• Ability to prioritize multiple assignments
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; Excel, Word, PowerPoint.

Preferred Qualifications

• Degree in Business, Finance, or Accounting
• 1+ year work experience
• Cost control, budgeting, and variance analysis experience
• Experience with financial analysis and Earned Value Management (EVM) customer reporting
• Experience with SAP ERP, Cognos reporting, ProPricer, and/or PowerBI
• Advanced Excel Techniques (i.e. v/h lookups, pivot tables, VBA/Macros)
• Demonstrated ability to prepare reports and analyze data
• Experience preparing and presenting complex financial analysis to leadership
• Experience with GAAP, as well as Government Financial accounting practices
• Program cost control experience
• Experience with Cobra and SAP
• Familiarity with FAR/DFAR
• Department of Defense (DoD) experience
• Secret security clearance

This position’s standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.

This position reports to Huntsville, AL, USA, however, this position can also be worked from Colorado Springs, CO, CO, USA.

Salary Range: $63,800 USD - $95,600 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
