Northrop Grumman Space Systems sector, Missile Defense Solutions Business Unit is currently seeking a Principal Pricing Analyst –Level 3 to join us at our site in Huntsville, AL. This position will have the ability to work a hybrid work schedule and is required to be onsite at least 2 days per week.

In this role, the selected candidate will play a key role in the organic and future growth of the business by managing proposal efforts from receipt of Request for Proposal (RFP) though contract award.  Our Principal Pricing Analyst is a key member of sole source, competitive sector and/or corporate priority win teams and will act as a key developer of winning bids. 

Job Duties & Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Plan and manage proposal efforts.
  • Compiles cost, schedule, and technical elements in the development of proposals in accordance with request for proposal (RFP) specifications, company policies, and Government regulations.
  • Coordinates with contributors from cross-functional organizations to ensure quality proposals are submitted within customer deadlines. 
  • Works closely with Program Management and Supply Chain Management to ensure supplier quotes comply with requirements.
  • Researches and critically analyzes large volumes of data using spreadsheet and data mining skills to isolate and prioritize key data.
  • Work with the proposal team to develop creative solutions to complex contractual issues.
  • Summarizes and presents detailed proposal information in internal management reviews and customer fact-finding meetings.
  • Develops negotiation strategies and participates as a member of the contract negotiating team.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree with 6+ years of proposal, pricing or financial related experience - OR - Master's Degree with 4+ years of proposal, pricing or financial related experience
  • Will consider additional 4+ years of experience in lieu of degree
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, Vlookups, nested formulas, macros), PowerPoint, and Word

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certified Estimating Professional (CEP).
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification
  • Understanding of Earned Value Management and experience with Primavera
  • Experience with probability modeling (@Risk or Crystal Ball)
  • Knowledge of FAR/DFARS and other Government Regulations
  • Proficiency in ProPricer
  • Experience working with Proposals
  • Experience working with Basis of Estimate (BOE) and analyzing BOE quality
  • Experience with Excel Pivot Tables, VBA working with Macros
  • Experience with parametric modeling (such as SEER-SEM, PRICE True Planning, etc.)
  • Experience conducting cost analysis and risk modeling

Salary Range: $78,500 USD - $117,700 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
