Strategic Space Systems Division (SSSD) is an industry-leading provider for prime satellite and payload capabilities and directed energy and electronics solutions for national security, military, and civil customers. SSSD has an opening for a Manager Price Cost Estimating 2 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Redondo Beach, California.

In this role, the Manager Pricing Cost Estimating 2 will manage and develop a team of analysts responsible for the research and analysis of company historical and industry data, development data-driven cost estimating approaches, cost and non-cost database architecture and development, techniques or models to support division pricing and estimating and proposal effort. In addition, will direct the team and its resources in support of capture and program business acquisition efforts, proposal cost data deliverables, and Cost Contract Data Requirements List (CDRL) development.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Manage the division staffing, resources, tools and training for department analysts
  • Engage with key business unit stakeholders to manage group’s support and workload to business pipeline
  • Direct future development of data driven estimating including applicable metrics and analysis
  • Evolve and maintain process and procedures; define standards for estimation and validation of potential cost estimation techniques for the group
  • Advise P&E managers, business management leaders, and other functional decision makers on the impacts of various courses of action and risks related to cost estimating and pricing strategy
  • Direct staff support to should-cost evaluations, cost crosschecks, independent cost assessments, and pricing reviews with senior management
  • Direct the coordination and accumulation of cost and non-cost data for strategic facilitation of future cost estimating capability
  • Lead engagement and establish strategic relationships on behalf of NG SSSD with government and industry cost groups
  • Oversee the development, innovation, and deployment of in-house and commercial models and software tools
  • Direct business intelligence assessments to support strategic captures
  • Provide subject matter expertise regarding the theories, principles and practices of cost analysis in support of the development of cost estimates that include data collection, data normalization, data analysis, regression, risk analysis and sensitivity analysis for the development cost estimates

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree with 6 years of experience in Cost Estimating related business management OR; 4 years of stated experience with a Master’s Degree
  • Experience directly or indirectly in a leadership role
  • Proven ability to evaluate, integrate, and communicate cost issues and risks to senior and executive management
  • An active in-scope DoD Top Secret or SCI clearance, investigation updated within the last 6 years

Salary Range: $134,600 USD - $201,800 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
