Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems (NGAS) is seeking a qualified Program Cost Schedule Control Analyst (Level 2) or Principal Program Cost and Schedule Control Analyst (Level 3) to join our Air Dominance Division, responsible for Cost Management. This position may be located in Redondo Beach, CA or El Segundo, CA and offers the flexibility of a hybrid telecommute and in office work schedule.

The Air Dominance Division is a fast paced, dynamic, and complex environment that requires a candidate to possess self-initiative, strong analytical skills, and solid leadership characteristics. Candidate will have the following, but not limited to, responsibilities:

Essential Functions:

  • Possess the ability to prepare and provide weekly/monthly analytical reports and tools to support trend analysis, and change control management utilizing SAP reporting

  • Developing and analyzing estimates to completion (ETC) and performing monthly Budget, EAC, Actuals, and Variance Analysis

  • Preparing EVMS baselines, maintaining artifacts, analyzing monthly performance, and updating Cobra

  • Controlling and reconciling all changes to the PMB (in a timely manner) and ensuring cost and schedule integration

  • Conducting financial analysis of traditional financial metrics (Awards, Acquisitions, Sales, Operating Margin, ROS%, Cash)

  • Interfacing with program office and program leadership on monthly forecasts, issues, concerns, and status

  • Preparing and submitting formal Cost Performance Reports/Integrated Program

  • Coordinating with cross-functional teams across multiple organizations

  • Fostering an environment of integrity, establishing relationships, and maintaining communication across the team and stakeholders at multiple levels

This requisition may be filled at a higher grade based on qualifications listed below.

Basic Qualifications (for Level 2):

  • Master’s degree with 1 year experience or Bachelor’s Degree with 3 years' proven experience in business, finance, accounting, program control and/or similar industry related fields

  • Experience with MS Office including Excel and PowerPoint

Basic Qualifications (for Level 3):

  • Master’s degree with 4 year experience or Bachelor’s Degree with 6 years' proven experience in business, finance, accounting, program control and/or similar industry related fields

  • Experience with MS Office including Excel (with Macros, Pivot tables and VLOOKUP) and PowerPoint

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Excel Macros, Pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and Slicer tools

  • Ability to work in Deltek Cobra EVM tool and IFAS (Integrated Financial Analytics System)

  • Ability to run SAP BW (OLAP) Queries

  • Candidate must gain and have an understanding of, and adherence to, company policies, procedures and internal controls

  • Earned Value Management Program Experience with familiarity to EIA-748 ANSI EV Guideline Reviews, and SOX Controls

This position reports to Redondo Beach, CA, USA, however, this position can also be worked from El Segundo, CA, CA, USA.


Salary Range: $70,200 USD - $105,200 USD
Salary Range 2: $86,300 USD - $129,500 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
