Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems is seeking a Program Cost Schedule Control Analyst (Level 2) or Principal Program Cost Schedule Control Analyst (Level 3) to join our Strike division of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in San Diego, CA or Palmdale, CA and requires the ability to work on-site daily.

Essential Functions:

  • Sets up cost control system, monitors and controls costs and schedules on contracts requiring validated cost schedule control system

  • Performs analyses and prepares reports in order to ensure that contracts are within negotiated and agreed-upon parameters and government cost control guidelines

  • Prepares budgets and schedules for contract work and performs and/or assists in financial analyses such as funding profiles, sales outlook, and variance analysis

  • Prepares program plans to ensure program requirements and statement of work are captured and scheduled

  • Performs schedule risk assessments to identify and mitigate program cost and scheduling risks

  • Ensures adequate funding availability by maintaining accurate records of expenditures, directing preparation of expenditure projections, and submitting timely requests for additional funding to the government

  • Incorporates contractual changes into control systems by staying aware of outstanding work against each contract in order to maintain realistic contract cost and schedule baselines

This position may be filled as a Program Cost Schedule & Control Analyst (Level 2) or Principal Program Cost Schedule & Control Analyst (Level 3).

Basic Qualifications (Level 2):

  • Bachelor's degree with 3 years experience, or a Master's degree with 1 years of experience in finance, accounting, project management, and/or related business management experience

  • Experience with MS Office including Word, Excel and PowerPoint

  • Active DoD Secret Clearance, awarded/reviewed within the last 5 years, and the ability to obtain and maintain Special Program Access (Special Program access will be required to start)

  • Ability to work on-site daily in Palmdale, CA or San Diego, CA.

Basic Qualifications (Level 3):

  • Bachelor's degree with 6 years experience, or a Master's degree with 4 year of finance, accounting, project management, and/or related business management experience

  • Experience with MS Office including Word, Excel and PowerPoint

  • Active DoD Secret Clearance, awarded/reviewed within the last 5 years, and the ability to obtain and maintain Special Program Access (Special Program access will be required to start)

  • Ability to work on-site daily in Palmdale, CA or San Diego, CA.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Active DoD Top Secret Clearance

  • Experience with EVMS (Earned Value Management)

  • Advanced Excel: Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, Conditional Formatting

  • Experience with SAP, Business Warehouse, wInsight, and COBRA

Program Cost Schedule Control Analyst (Level 2) Range: $70,200.00 - $105,200.00

Principal Program Cost Schedule Control Analyst (Level 3) Range: $86,300.00  - $129,500.00

This position reports to San Diego, CA, USA, however, this position can also be worked from Palmdale, CA, CA, USA.


Salary Range: $70,200 USD - $105,200 USD
Salary Range 2: $86,300 USD - $129,500 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
