Northrop Grumman Defense Systems Sector is seeking a Business Management Manager 1 for the Subsystems Maintenance and Software Sustainment Operation Unit. This position will be located in Warner Robins, GA.

Roles and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Partner with the Program Managers for selected programs to manage all financial aspects to achieve the financial and strategic objectives

  • Responsible for developing the long-range strategic plan of certain programs and annual operating plan

  • Promote the professional development of the business management workforce and foster a collaborative culture that sustains the momentum around employee engagement, affordability, innovation, value growth and continuous improvement

  • Lead a business management team, responsibility to orchestrate all business management functions including contracts, pricing, proposal development, program planning & financial control, financial planning, program scheduling, direct and indirect rate management, etc.

  • Use broad experience in financial planning and analysis, program finance, variance analysis, and strategic planning

  • Oversee forecasting, work authorization, EACs/ETCs, Indicated Finals, financial reporting, cash modeling, etc.

  • Responsible for the daily operations of a team (direct supervision of the staff to include job requirements / schedules, and provide direction to subordinates using established policies and procedures)

  • Maintain the highest level of commitment to quality, compliance, and internal controls in adherence to company values and ethics

  • This position requires occasional business travel

Basic Qualifications: 

  • This position emphasizes skills and experience. Will consider a high school diploma or GED with a minimum of 10 years professional experience in finance, accounting, or program control

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Accounting, Finance, or related field with 5 years of relevant experience, or a Master’s degree with 3 years relevant experience

  • In depth financial reporting experience

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to present business strategies, financial information, and risk assessments to Program Managers and Business Unit Management.

  • Demonstrated ability to perform independent risk analysis and cost/schedule performance assessments leveraging solutions that create business value to the customer and company

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) Secret security clearance

    
Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Complete understanding of contract types and terminology

  • Experience developing EACs and AOP / LRSPs

  • In-depth knowledge of DOD financial business models

  • Proven skills and knowledge of financial management and analysis

  • Experience with Cobra, MPM, and reporting tools

  • A solid understanding of FAR, CAS and Disclosure Statements

  • Experience with similar and relevant financial experience as described in the job description

  • Active Secret clearance


Salary Range: $87,900 USD - $131,900 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
