Northrop Grumman Mission Systems sector is seeking Business Manager 2, to lead Modernization and Future Platforms Programs within Advanced Systems Operating Unit. This position reports to the Business Manager - Advanced Systems.

This position is located in Linthicum, MD and is a full-time onsite position.

Roles and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Program resource management, including cost estimation, allocation, tracking, and analysis
  • Estimate-at-Complete (EAC) preparation and review
  • Management and development of Program Control Analyst (PCA) staff
  • Preparation and presentation of financial data to internal and external customers, including variance analysis and forecasts
  • Management of Program Earned Value reporting
  • On-going collaboration with the customer and functional teams
  • Collaboration with the Modernization and Future Platforms Director and Program Managers 
  • Review of all contractual documents related to Programs
  • Assistance with contract negotiations
  • Support of pricing and high-visibility proposal activities
  • Cash Management to ensure timely invoicing and collections

Basic Qualifications:
To be considered for this position, you must minimally meet the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed below:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or related discipline with 8 years of industry related experience in finance, accounting, or program control .
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite and SAP
  • Understanding of DOD contracts, government Cost Accounting Standards, and the FAR
  • Prior experience with government program budgeting and forecasting, as well as Annual Operating Plan development
  • Prior experience preparing and presenting financial analysis to team and/or management.
  • Prior experience in proposal preparation and BOE preparation and evaluations.
  • The willingness and ability to travel domestically 10% of the time.
  • Current, active secret level security clearance.


Preferred Qualifications:
Candidates with these desired skills will be given preferential consideration:

  • MBA
  • Earned Value Proficiency including the Earned Value Guidelines and ONE NG System Description.
  • Experience with financial forecasting systems


Salary Range: $116,600 USD - $175,000 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
