Northrop Grumman Mission Systems, Airborne Multifunction Systems, Advanced Mission Capabilities Business Unit is seeking an Operating Unit Business Manager to lead our Advanced Systems OU.

This position is located in Linthicum, MD. Note: This is a full-time on site/in-office position.

The Business Management Manager will be responsible for the integration and oversight of all Business Management efforts including new business pursuits, business acquisition processes, compliance, funding analysis, financial analysis, internal audits, and business case scenarios.

Specific duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Work with Business Team on assigned responsibilities, including Internal and external customer interactions, EVMS implementation and analysis; support and guidance to PMs and CAMs; inputs and knowledge of contracts; analysis and review of EACs and variance analysis research and reporting.

  • Focus team on achieving uncompromising quality in all products and services, accountability, meeting financial goals, and team performance.

  • Ensure team fully understands their roles and impact on financial results.

  • Act as the primary interface with the program office, Business Leadership, and Division team for discretionary investments, NCTA, and capital

  • Support proposal preparation, fact-finding and contract negotiations

  • Act as primary point of contact with Program Director counterpart and maintain a positive working relationship to improve communication and stay on top of any potential cost issues.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university and 9 years of related work experience or a Masters Degree with 7 years related work experience

  • Experience in Government Contracting

  • Experience developing and presenting business strategies, financial information, and risk assessments to leadership teams

  • Current, active DoD Secret level security clearance or higher is required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience leading a team, either as a lead, functional manager, or matrix manager

  • Experience interfacing with government audit agencies such as DCMA and DCAA, as well as Internal Audit

  • Strong analytical skills


Salary Range: $139,000 USD - $208,400 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
