Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems sector and Aerospace Structures business unit is seeking a Cost Estimating Analyst - Facilities (Level 2/3) to provide detailed cost and schedule estimates for facility projects that support both sustaining infrastructure and new program facility requirements at our Clearfield, UT location.

Essential Functions:

  • Provide detailed cost estimates for site capital projects
  • Maintain a cost database using past actuals and industry intelligence
  • Collaborate with security, EHS, IT, facilities engineers, architects, contractors, and customers as needed to quantify the scope of projects
  • Create detailed statements of work and ground rule packages
  • Develop and/or analyze project schedules
  • Read blueprints and technical documents
  • Visit job sites to gather information on conditions and project considerations
  • Identify and quantify cost factors, such as time, materials, and labor expenses
  • Utilization of Estimating books and computer software to calculate estimates
  • Calculate demolished capital asset valuations
  • Ensures project requirements are defined, operating budgets established, and financial terms/conditions of contract are identified

This position may be filled as either a level 2 or level 3 Cost Estimating Analyst dependent on qualifications.

Basic qualifications for a level 2:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or STEM with 3 years of relevant experience OR a Master’s degree with 1 year of relevant experience
  • Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering plans, drawings and specifications for quantities take-off and cost estimates
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products including Excel, Word and Power Point
  • Must be able to obtain/maintain a Secret DoD Clearance

Basic qualifications for a level 3:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or STEM with 6 years of relevant experience OR a Master’s degree with 4 years of relevant experience
  • Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering plans, drawings and specifications for quantities take-off and cost estimates
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products including Excel, Word and Power Point
  • Must be able to obtain/maintain a Secret DoD Clearance

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience preparing cost estimates for facility and/or construction projects and the use of construction cost data reference books
  • Experience maintaining cost estimating standards
  • Project management experience over facility and/or construction projects
  • Proficient in MS Project (schedule development)
  • Knowledgeable in AutoCAD and Revit
  • Demonstrated experience in effectively forecasting and tracking project costs

Salary Range: $60,600 USD - $90,800 USD
Salary Range 2: $74,600 USD - $111,800 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
