Northrop Grumman Space Systems has an opening for a Cost/Control Analyst 2 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Dulles VA and support the Tactical Space Systems Division.

Roles and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Performing analyses and preparing reports in order to ensure that contracts are within negotiated and agreed-upon parameters and government cost control guidelines.
  • Preparing budgets and schedules for contract work and performing and/or assisting in financial analyses such as funding profiles, sales outlook, and variance analysis.
  • Preparing program plans to ensure program requirements and statement of work are captured and scheduled.
  • Performing Earned Value Management (EVM) tasks.
  • Monitoring funding availability by maintaining accurate records of expenditures, directing preparation of expenditure projections, and submitting timely requests for additional funding to the government.
  • Performing miscellaneous financial analysis as required. - Continually assessing and improving financial reporting processes to enhance efficiencies.
  • Participating in month-end financial reporting close activities.

This position’s standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree with 2+ years of related professional experience - OR - a Master's degree with 1+ years of related professional experience. An additional four years’ experience accepted in lieu of a degree.
  • Experience in program finance, financial analysis and/or contracts.
  • Experience successfully managing and producing data with strict deadlines.
  • Strong PC skills and proficient knowledge with Microsoft Office Suite, including MS Excel.
  • Strong analytical ability.
  • US Citizenship is a prerequisite.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Active TS/SCI security clearance.
  • Aerospace/defense industry experience.
  • Exposure to Earned Value Management System (EVMS).
  • Deltek Cobra experience (Deltek Microframe Program Manager experience will be considered).
  • Costpoint and/or Cognos experience.
  • Experience with Internal and/or Joint Surveillance Reviews (ISR/JSR) and resulting Corrective Action Requests and Plans (CARs/CAPs).

Salary Range: $68,100 USD - $102,100 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
