Northrop Grumman is seeking a Payroll Analyst. This role is not fully virtual - it will offer partial telework, but candidates must be local to Irving, TX.

Role and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Maintains relocation records information by collecting, calculating and entering data to approve payment
  • Data Entry
  • Resolve basic payroll inquiries within SLA
  • Analyzing and researching travel policies and employee payment postings
  • Complete timely updates to employee data
  • Issue and record adjustments to pay related to previous errors or retroactive increases
  • Perform quality audits
  • Address non-escalated employee issues in a timely manner

Basic Qualifications - to be considered for this position, you must minimally meet the knowledge, skills and abilities listed below:

  • Bachelors degree in Business, Accounting or a related field with 3 years of relevant experience OR Masters degree in Business, Accounting or a related field with 1 years of experience; in lieu of a degree 7 years of relevant experience can be accepted
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft office suite (excel, word and Powerpoint)
  • Payroll processing experience including relevant regulatory requirements; internal policy and procedure; accounting practices; system software requirements
  • Basic FLSA knowledge, federal and state laws, etc.
  • Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
  • Must posses a strong characteristic for attention to detail and accuracy
  • Problem-solving; organizing and prioritizing work demands in order to meet critical deadlines
  • Perform basic payroll calculations
  • Operating a personal computer including standard software and some specialized accounting software
  • Must be able to work well in a team environment
  • Fundamentals of Payroll Certification [1 year completion requirement]

Preferred Qualifications – candidates with these desired skills will be given preferential consideration:

  • Prior experience working in a shared service or center of excellence environment
  • Fundamentals of Payroll Certification

Salary Range: $60,900 USD - $91,300 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
