Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking a Principal Budget Analyst (Level 3) to join our team of diverse, qualified individuals. This position will be located in Azusa, CA with the option of a hybrid schedule (3 days on site per week) at manager’s discretion. This role offers a 9/80 schedule, which means every other Friday off!

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Responsible for all direct and indirect rate development for the Azusa rate segment.
  • Prepare Forward Pricing Rate Proposals (FPRP), including updates throughout the year, and ensure proposals are adequate and compliant.
  • Ensure all Corporate and Sector flow down updates to the FPRP are quantified for internal and external customers in a timely fashion.
  • Complete the monthly budget vs actuals analysis, coordinate all variance explanations, and prepare consolidated summary for management review.
  • Respond to all internal and external audit requests.
  • Support budget requests/analysis as needed for occupancy costs, depreciation, and additional ad-hoc requests.
  • Become familiar with the Disclosure Statement; review cost center changes and any other rate changes to ensure compliance with disclosure.
  • Participate in knowledge transfer and best practices sharing with peers.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, or Accounting & 6 years of related experience, OR a Master's Degree in Business, Finance, or Accounting & 4 years of related experience.
  • Experience with indirect budgeting, accounting, and cost accounting standards.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Products.
  • Ability to obtain & maintain a DoD security clearance (US Citizenship Required).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with SAP.
  • Prior work with Government/Aerospace Industry preferred.

Salary Range: $78,500 USD - $117,700 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
