Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for either a Level 3 or Level 4 Accountant to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. The selected candidate will report to the Manager of Accounting and support billing activities. This position is located on site in El Segundo, CA with partial telework available.

Essential Functions:

  • Review and approve billings including final invoice packages

  • Oversee team of approx three billers and provide troubleshooting support and guidance.

  • Miscellaneous accounts receivable reporting and resolution of payment issues

  • Perform analysis of unbilled balances

  • Support monthly cash collection and forecasting goals

  • Interface with internal and external customers

  • Support DCAA incurred costs and billing audits

  • Complete special project as needed

The grade level at which this requisition will be filled will be influenced by the qualifications listed below.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Level 3 - Bachelor's Degree with 6 years of Accounting experience OR a Master's Degree with 4 years of stated experience

  • Level 4 - Bachelor's Degree with 10 years of Accounting experience OR a Master's Degree with 8 years of stated experience

  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel

  • Ability to work on site in El Segundo, CA

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting

  • Government contracting experience

  • Experience leading a small team

  • Prior billing and/or experience in defense contracting industry.

  • Familiarity with GAAP, FAR, CAS, IFRS

  • Exposure to financial reporting systems, particularly SAP and Business Warehouse

Salary Range for Level 3 $78,500.00 - 117,700.00

Salary Range for Level 4 $97,400.00 - 146,000.00

Salary Range: $78,500 USD - $117,700 USD
Salary Range 2: $97,400 USD - $146,000 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
