Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems sector is seeking a Sr Principal Media Production Analyst to join our Edwards AFB , CA flight test team of highly engaged and enthusiastic flight test professionals to tell the story of the products, missions, and people we support.

Roles and Responsibilities: Qualified candidates must be prepared to thrive in a highly active flight test environment that demands collaboration, innovative thinking, creative storytelling, and use of digital tools to effectively communicate to employees, customers, the public, industry, stakeholders, and others. This position will be located at Edwards AFB , CA reporting to the Creative Services Manager. Qualified candidates must have at least 10 years of work experience in videography photography and editing, extensive knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office platform, the ability to work on Mac and PC operating systems. The ideal candidate will infuse new ideas and techniques that elevate the brand image through our creative projects. The candidate will serve as a strategic communications partner and must have demonstrated experience working multiple projects at one time.

This position will require the ability to fly in a variety of military and non-military aircraft including fighter aircraft while documenting flight test activities through photo and video capture.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree and 10 years of experience in video production, fine arts or related field OR Master’s degree and 8 years of experience OR an additional 4 years of experience can be substituted in lieu of the degree.

  • Experience operating a variety of standard and special-purpose still and video cameras, to include RED Cinema and DSLR still cameras.

  • Experienced user of the Adobe Creative Suite of applications: Photoshop, Bridge, Premier Pro, After Effects and Media Encoder.

  • Customer service experience and ability to work independently and collaboratively on a multimedia team.

  • Overtime including weekend support may be required.

  • Continued employment contingent on applicant’s ability to obtain DoD Secret clearance.

  • Candidate must have an Active DoD Secret Clearance updated within the last 5 years, as well as ability to obtain a Program Special access within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business needs.

  • Some travel will be required.

  • Must be able to pass a FAA Class 2 flight physical annually exam.

  • Must be able to pass Air Force required training to fly in military aircraft. Including Air Force water survival, local area and non-combat survival, altitude chamber, hanging harness, egress and AFE training.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience coordinating and directing the execution of creative assignments for advertising, news, publicity, and/or technical use.

  • Knowledge of flight test operations.

  • Experience capturing aerial photography.

  • Familiar working around aircraft and driving on controlled movement areas.

  • Experience creating graphic designs.


Salary Range: $107,000 USD - $160,600 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
